I am exhausted and I am starting to think it goes beyond the normal everyday tired. Most days I wake up tired and it just get worse throughout the day...to the point where I can't see straight and have a hard time focusing on anything. I am thinking it might be adrenal fatigue. Aunt Taunia, my mom said you have some great information in regards to that subject. Would you mind sharing?

I'm back :)

I have been fluctuating between 163 and 160 for the last four weeks. This is getting kind of ridiculously frustrating. Doesn't help that my daughter called me a fatty yesterday. I have decided to set aside $10 for every pound I lose...only to be used after I have lost at least 20 lbs. They say that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger...and I'm not dead yet :)

Wendy's Weight

Hi Taun,
It looks like it's just you and me again this week! I lost the half pound I gained last week so I'm back to 148.5
So slow! I know what you mean about the weight gain. I don't understand it either. I am burning more calories than ever and even when I eat more than I should I'm still not eating as much as I used to and yet I gain weight!!! Someone suggested that it may be a hormone imbalance, so I'm going back on progesterone to see if that helps.
Good luck this week!
Love ya,
Wendy

Taunia's weigh in 3/28

I am up 2 lbs and I can't believe or understand it. Yesterday we had to go to a Miss Utah workshop for Kenna. Tuesday is Havana's birthday so we went to salt lake for a girls day out. I was so very careful at all meals, went to the Olive garden and had grilled chicken and veggies for pete's sake. We went to the capital theather and saw Legally Blonde the musical and I had a handful of m&m's anyway.......up 2 lbs. I think dreaming about bread and potatoes must make the scales go up. I guess I will work all week to get rid of the handful of M&M's. Waaaaaa!! Not Fair!!!!

Still the same

So I went to see an osteopath and she suggest I tone down the weights! Random because I always thought that weights were good for your bones. Anyway she recommend i stretch my muscles more especially in my back and calves. I did an hour and a half yoga class today and wow did it feel so good. It was really hard and I couldn't do 1/4 of it! So I'm still trying to run and walk a lot and replace weights twice a week with yoga or pilates. I'm noticing a difference in the shape of my bum (hehehe) and my middle is a lot more toned.

Taunia's weigh in

Still 157. I think my body is getting use to this. I think I need to jump start again. I don't need anything big. 2 lbs a week would be nice!

Have a great week!

wendy's weigh in

I upped my cardio every day to 60 min and my weight training to 20 min. I worked my tail off and today I weighed in at 150. Two lbs. down from last week. Still not back to my lowest weight yet, but glad to be going in the right direction. Here are my 9 weeks of weight. I've never had to work so hard with so little results, but I am hopful that this will be a perminant lose and a life time change in my diet and exercise.

walking on an incline

Due to my orthotics giving me grief and messing with my body I can't run for more than 20 mins without being in a lot of pain. Today I realized that walking 4 mph on a 10 incline burns as many calories as running 6 mph and the best part of is I don't hurt at all (besides my lungs gasping for air). Although I have enjoyed running in the parks here, I am happy to find a solution that won't leave me crippled. Yeah!
