walking on an incline

Due to my orthotics giving me grief and messing with my body I can't run for more than 20 mins without being in a lot of pain. Today I realized that walking 4 mph on a 10 incline burns as many calories as running 6 mph and the best part of is I don't hurt at all (besides my lungs gasping for air). Although I have enjoyed running in the parks here, I am happy to find a solution that won't leave me crippled. Yeah!

  1. It took me 6 months to get use to my orthotics. It was a slow and painful process. You will see good things happen. Hang in there!

  2. I had another appointment and he trimmed the arches down for me. I can now wear them most of the day without too much uncomfort. I'm seeing an osteopath this week too so hopefully that will help as well. I'm glad to hear I'll eventually get use to them.
