  1. Hi Tonya!

I hope you don't mind me jumping in and joining you gals. Wendy sent me the blog link.

Not gaining is an accomplishment too. Keep making small changes that you can live with and you'll see it come off. Each week brings new hope.

    Love ya!

  3. Hi Tonya,

I'm really doing great and feeling fabulous for the most part. I took of 4 pounds at my weekly weigh in yesterday, which is quite unusual. I think I really took it off over this past month, but it hasn't showed when I weigh in...hormones, new workout muscle...who knows.

The family is doing great! Dad is home and really make some huge strides. I don't know if you knew but he was in a coma earlier this year. Watching him walk into Sacrament meeting a few weeks ago was like watching Lazarus walk out of the tomb. In some ways he's actually doing better then he's done in years. He damaged his right arm, probably nerve damange. He can't use his hand yet and it's pretty painful. He's not falling as much as he used to and great news; the doctors are thinking it's possible he may not even have Parkinsen's. He has an aide that comes in to help him shower and we have another gal that helps him get his meds and meals a few times a week when I'm not available.

Mom is pretty run down. She's working two jobs. Last week she did 75 hours. I worry about her. She's a tough gal but a person has to have a limit somewhere. She's working to pay off the house and get things lined up for retirement any any possible expenses Dad might have. He's pretty young still for as many challenges as his body has.

Well, have a good week and stay focused on your goals. I'll be seeing you "lighter."

    Tessha

  4. Here's a bit of an update on the others:

Alisha graduates in June, so it will be just Mom, Dad and I at home. She's going to live with James and Elizabeth in Tacoma. James is working on his Doctorate in Phy Therapy and Elizabeth is managing their apartment complex while raising Gwenevere, who is now one.

I've had some huge improvements in my health over the past six months. It's been three years since I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue/Fybromyalgia and haven't been able to work full-time. It's been rough. I just had my disability hearing and hope by summer to have an income. I was working part-time and Macy's trying to hold on to some sort of health insurance but last Oct I felt impressed to stop working and just get on top of my symptoms. Shortly after that Dad got worse. I've been able to get well enough to help out some. I terribly miss my independance and former life, but I'm glad to be home.

Laura just had a baby last week. They named her Anabelle Mae. Elizabeth has Paunie's middle name Mae and so the name continues.

Dalynn, Daniels wife is due any day now. It will be their third, making three girls.

Jenni, Will's wife is expecting number 2 in the fall. She's busy teaching Piano and most recently took on a project to compose for a film. They are in Seattle. Will ran a 100 mile race two weekends ago, and finished! He recently landed a prestigous finance position that looks promising. I'm happy for him.

Luke is still flying for Mesa Air out of Atlanta but hasn't had a lot of hours. He took stand-by / limited pay position a year or so ago and has picked up some jobs on the side until the industry picks up. He's a fantastic Pilot and has worked hard to move up the ranks. I think they are happy and enjoying their new home. Karly, their oldest was just baptized. They have two boys, totaling three.

Kristi is teaching 2nd grade in Orem. Haini is in the process of getting into Police school to become an Officer. They have three growing little ones. She's a budding Photographer and quite talented. I think she'd like to start a business but is holding out for better timing.

Seth is at ISU. He's doing a lot of creative writting on the side. He hasn't published anything but has won some awards. He's got some teachers that are encouraging and helping him develope his stills. No girlfriends to write home about he tells us but I think he's enjoying friends and is pretty involved with the institute and his job at a local bike shop.

Grace just put in her papers last Sunday! I couldn't be more excited for her. It will be fun to see where she gets called to serve.

That's all of us. We are getting ready for another "Thom-Moose" family reunion (based on a picture we have of Dad making moose antlers with his hands, quite funny). Most of us will be able to meet up in the Seattle area in June. I can hardly wait.
